| The
current quarters of Patrol 1, at 240
West 30th Street, NYC, opened in 1880
and were originally designated as Patrol
3. The Superintendent's office was also
located in this modern four-story firehouse.
These quarters were the most modern
of its day and if you visit there today
you will find the original wooden apparatus
floor is still in use. Also out behind
what is now the kitchen remains the
stables, which were used for the horses. |
